Overhead pass

High pass. Release ball from above head, while stepping forward (footwork rule). The overhead pass must have power from wrist to the elbow because tall defenders can reach up and intercept the ball if the overhead pass is thrown to slow.

Remember in overhead passing to bend your arms and keep your elbows in close to your body. Lift the ball over your head (sort of like a soccer thrown in) allowing the ball to drop back slightly, while you step with one foot forward as this will help power into the pass. Also, remember to hit your teammate right in the chest allowing them to catch the ball easy. Always don't forgret to stretch out your arms and your fingertips and thumbs are fully extended towards the passer.
